This species is recent colonizer and very local in Estonia with main stronghold in the south-west. I was surprised to find on today near Tartu where this species is still a rarity.

In July 2014 i had a short birding trip to Extremadura. Here are some odonates i managed to sqeeze in between Imperial Eagles and Little Bustards. In total i managed to identify 9 species of dragonflies there.
